The central umbrella organizations in the mathematical sciences are the American Mathematical Society, the Mathematical Association of America and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. These organizations provide many resources for students and young mathematicians. For those interested in the actuarial sciences, the Society of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuary Society host a wide range of resources for students.
AWM: Association for Women in Mathematics
The purpose of the Association for Women in Mathematics is to encourage women and girls to study and to have active careers in the mathematical sciences, and to promote equal opportunity and the equal treatment of women and girls in the mathematical sciences.
SIAM: Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics
The University of Delaware Student Chapter of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) focuses on furthering the application of mathematics to industry and science, promoting basic research in mathematics, providing an environment in which to socialize and to exchange mathematical ideas and sponsoring activities that foster interaction between mathematics students and professionals in other fields. ​

​The University of Delaware Math Club holds weekly meetings where students can learn about interesting topics and applications of math, find research and career opportunities, and network with professors and professionals!
Actuarial Sciences Club
The University of Delaware Actuarial Sciences Club is a club dedicated to helping students who aspire to become actuaries in the future. Members are educated about the insurance industry as well as what they need to do in order to pass the required exams. We also offer special access to internship and networking opportunities in hope that upon graduation, each member has established full-time position offers. ​​
